ABOUT US
Jimmy (JW) Miller
Owner/Operator
With over 60 years of experience in the timber industry, JW Miller is a fourth-generation timberman. JW began his journey in 1962 at just 15 years old, working alongside his father learning the intricacies of logging and timber buying. In those early days, he skidded logs behind mules and used an axe to cut underbrush—methods that have since evolved.
After serving two tours in Vietnam, JW returned to the timber industry, where he continued to build on the knowledge that he learned from his father. In the early 1980s, he owned and operated a small sawmill. Even during this time, he remained active in logging, working steadily through the 1980s, 1990s, and beyond.
Today, JW brings his decades of experience and deep understanding of the timber business to every project, ensuring each landowner receives fair and transparent service. His lifelong commitment to the industry reflects not only a love for the work but also a respect for the land and the people who depend on it.
JW’s passion for the industry is more than just a career—it’s a lifelong calling passed down through generations. His respect for the land and the people who depend on it shines through in every aspect of his work, reflecting a legacy that blends tradition with modern forestry practices.
